Bernstine Appointed Chairman of Subcommittee on Workers Compensation and Worker Protection

HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Butler/Lawrence) has been appointed by House Republican Labor and Industry Committee Chairman Seth Grove (R-York) to serve as chairman of the Subcommittee on Workers Compensation and Worker Protection for the 2025-26 Legislative Session.

In this leadership role, Bernstine will oversee issues related to workers' compensation laws, policies and the overall safety of workers across Pennsylvania. He will focus on evaluating policies to improve the state's workers' compensation system and balance the needs of employees and employers to ensure fairness and effective protections.

“I’m honored to take on this responsibility and look forward to tackling the critical issues facing workers and employers in Pennsylvania,” said Bernstine. “This subcommittee has a unique opportunity to make impactful changes to our workers' compensation system, and I am committed to working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit all Pennsylvanians.”

The House Labor and Industry Committee focuses on issues impacting jobs across the state. Legislation the committee deals with includes unemployment compensation, job training, child labor laws, workers’ compensation and the Prevailing Wage Act.

In addition to his chairmanship, Bernstine has been appointed to serve on several key House committees for the 2025-26 legislative session, including the House Insurance, Intergovernmental Affairs and Operations and Transportation committees, where he serves as chairman of the Subcommittee on Railroads. Through these roles, he will continue his work on policies that affect the economy, workforce and infrastructure of Pennsylvania.
